Throughout my film, I utilized digital matte painting to help me achieve the look I wanted. I used 2.5D camera projections in Nuke to composite digital paintings from Photoshop on top of one another. Here is an example of what this looks like in Nuke:
Director's Statement:
One of the things I felt strongly about in the making of Strings Attached is that I wanted this film to outline my experience with loss. In a way, I am the pup. I wanted to describe the feeling of losing someone near to your heart, but knowing that they are always present around and within you. I translated this feeling through the Red String of Fate.
